World Championships 2026

The WIDA World Championships 2026 will take place at the Palais de Congrès, Liège, Belgium from Wednesday 8 th April to Saturday 11 th April 2026. The syllabus for this event is now published (https://www.irish.dance/syllabi#worlds and for age ranges to u10 https://www.irish.dance/syllabi#inter ).

All dancers who wish to enter the Open Championships must attend a qualifying event. Please lead the rules about qualification https://www.irish.dance/competition-rules#15 world and consult the syllabus for oireachtasai https://www.irish.dance/syllabi#oireachtasai

Day 1 Wed 8 th April

  • International Feis (grades dancers – beginners to intermediate)

Day 2 Thurs 9 th April

  • All team competitions including figure championships.

Day 3 Fri 10 th April

  • Traditional Set Championships.

  • Solo International Championships (U8-U10)

  • Solo World Championships for ages up to and including U15

  • Charity Treble Reel

  • Show Championships

Day 4 Sat 11 th April

  • Solo World Championships for ages U16 and above
